last june my application was deferred due to braces
the next step in my application was the assessment centre and then i was made aware cannot join untill braces off and i tried re contacting my local recruiter but not heard back

Army Career Centres can be busy places and they're invariably understaffed.
If you can't re-apply through the Army Jobs website I'd consider giving neighbouring career centre a ring to see if they can help: Your Local Army Careers Centres
I think there are a few soldiers from Army Career Centres on here, but most of us aren't, so unfortunately we can't help you with the application process.
