Hello. You can wait if you want and join the Army when you are 18 but if you were to go now you would go to the Army Foundation Collage. Is there a reason you don't want to go to the AFC? I didn't go myself but I've got the impression from friends of mine that its a good place to do training.
With regards to how to train now, you will be given advice from your recruiter in preparation for your attendance to the assessment centre. However, pushing yourself up and pulling yourself over walls is something you will have to do in the infantry so it may be worth getting some advice from your gym staff on how to practice that.
Thanks and if you have any other questions please let me know.
