    I wouldn't recommend taking to much extra to basic training. You will hardly need any civilian clothes. But definitely a good iron, spare chargers and compede.

    Are you allowed to bring a laptop etc for use at the end of the day [if you have time].
    do you have access to the internet also?

    If you go to pirbright, the signal isn’t that great but you do have some time to chill before going to bed but that time is usually spent ironing or cleaning

    At ATR Winchester there is good wifi in the rooms. Like Holly said you probably won't have a hug amount of time to yourself but I believe you can bring a laptop.

    Yes you will be allowed to make phone calls in the evenings, you'll just need to work around the tasks you'll have to do, but I got to speak with my family/friends most nights for a short time.
