Is there a route from Light Cavalry into more "elite" roles? For instance the Pathfinders?
I'm interested in Light Cavalry, but I'm more interested in roles similar to those which the STA's did, more recce stuff like that. I was just wondering if there was a real route from light cavalry into those sorts of roles, and for instance the Pathfinders?

Hi Matt,
You can apply to join the Pathfinders from any unit in the Army once you are in service. Also, you can likewise join 4/73 Battery who conduct our STA patrols from any unit across defence.
The skills you learn as a light cavalry soldier are easily transferrable to both of these and can be seen as a logical starting point if you are interested.
