It depends everyone reacts differently in basic training and although the corporals may seem big and scary at first you realise that they are there to look after you if you have any concerns then you should talk to them as soon as possible when you have an issue and they will try to resolve it. That being said the Army isn't for everyone so if you think that its not for you then you always have your discharge as of right period which will be explained to you when you arrive.
