Hi Richard.
There are a number of education opportunities you can undertake while in the Army. Courses you need to progress in your career are often tied to a civilian accreditation and there are opportunities for distance learning and time out to take in-service degrees, although there is a lot of competition for these. The Army also allocates you money to use on your education and self improvement.
I have earned an NVQ L7 in the time i have been in the Army and am currently undertaking an MSC Exec.
