Is it wise to quit my job and join the full army or try and fit the reserves around my panama shifts?

I want to help the army in some way and gain skills which are found there, but to go to basic training id be taking a 30k pay cut. I know its hard to tell people what they should do but i guess im just trying to see if im going to ruin my life or whether i should take the leap. Thanks !

Unfortunately I can not tell you what you should do or not do it just really depends why you want to join the army and if you would like to make a career out of it. If you are not sure then you could look at joining the reserves and see how you get on and transfer over to the regular later down the line
