Is it possible to transfer during basic training?
Is there possibility to transfer roles during phase 1/2 if you feel that role does not suit you? Like infantry to armoured cavalry and vice versa?

It’s a lot harder to transfer out of Infantry to infantry. It is possible but easier to transfer between infantry regiments at ITC Catterick.
As cavalry don’t train at the Infantry training Centre, there is a process to transfer out and in to a different training unit.
What are you in and what are you looking to transfer to?
Also, if your at any of the phase 1/2 units, what week are you in?

As James said, it's not impossible to transfer once you have started training.
However you run the risk of having to re-do parts of training and you need to meet the criteria of whatever cap badge you're wanting to transfer to.
Everyone does phase 1 training, basic soldiering, so it depends where you are in training.
