Hi. Thanks for the question. There is support to do GCSEs while in the Army, although the majority will be through self-motivation and in your own time.
In terms of learning more than one trade - each soldier learns one trade (from a huge selection) however once you have gone through the training pipeline (basic training, combat engineer training, trade training) there are then opportunities to conduct further courses (not necessarily a new trade) for example the dive course, P Company, the commando course and it is not unusual for soldier to have completed several of these courses. But no you wouldn't do training as a plumber and then conduct training as an electrician - the Army needs you to be very good at the one trade. Hope that helps.
