I have been thinking about signing up for the plumbing apprentice within the army but I have concerns about being out of the country. Would it be possible to only work on base without having to travel to other countries for this role?
It isn't a requirement but it is very likely that you will leave the country at some point in your career if you join the Army. Most people have, as a minimum, travelled for a battlefield study, adventurous training, or a training exercise.
You could potentially stay in the UK throughout your career, but it isn't something anyone would be able to guarantee.
