No, HR is not a job were Artillery is involved. HR jobs involve managing the Army's people, finances, and information. By contrast, a job in the Royal Artillery is a combat role: finding, tracking, and striking targets at range. HR & Finance roles are required in every unit in the Army, including Artillery Regiments, so HR roles can serve alongside the Royal Artillery.
If you're travelling for work you'll usually be pretty busy with your own job, but depending on where in the world you're working you could potentially use your free time to do some volunteering. It would likely be on a case by case basis: you'd have to let your Chain of Command know where you're going to be volunteering and what it involves.
