is basic training for being a chef in the army the same as basic for other regiments within the armed forces ?

Good afternoon,
Yes it is indeed. All Basic Training is exactly the same. That being said for "non combat" affiliated roles such as RLC Chef, the extent of Phase 1 training is shorter due to the more lengthy time expected in phase 2 (Initial trade training) That and Combat related roles have to longer to hone their particular "green" Soldier skills to be more efficient on the battlefield.
