    Hello,

In answer to your first question, it will be very career dependent. Medics can work in many different branches of the army. So a medic attached to the special forces is more likely to find themselves in harms way, than a medic attached to a headquarters that rarely deploys at all. Most medics move around every few years, and they will express a preference as to where they would like to work. In general the risk to UK armed forces personnel at the moment is quite low in comparison to what it has been in the past.

Only you can really decide the answer to that second question as it will come down to your personal beliefs and motivations. Obviously some medics think it is, or they wouldn't do the job they do, and obviously there are many people out there who would disagree.
