I'm currently writing a book about being in the military and it's important to me to be relatively real with the experiences and feelings of the soldier that tells the story. If possible can you add experiences of Afghanistan (or Iran/Iraq if you haven't been deployed to Afghan). Thank you, all replies will be much appreciated and all credit will be given!
Hello, Holly.
I'm not sure that this is the right platform to be gathering information for your book as this platform is here to help answer questions about joining the Army.
If you would like to get the answers you require, I would go to your local Army unit either Regular or Reserve and ask there. Failing that, try your local Army Careers office.
But to give you my answer, I thoroughly enjoy being in the Army. I have served 21 years in the Infantry and if I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't of wasted so much of my time on a job I don't like.
