You will never be able to be exactly the same as Regulars are training day in day out. They will also do far more exercises than a Reservists. HOWEVER the basic training for Inf soldiers you are absolutely trained to the same standards as your regular counterparts as you are expected to be able to train and work alongside each other - with no-one being able to spot 'the reservist'. Often now Regular units will exercise with Reserve units - as it should be as the aim is, 'one army'. Should you volunteer to mobilise (deploy) with a regular unit you would be expected to be fit and be able to keep up when loaded up with equipment - this is something you'd be training for in your own time. You would also join them for pre deployment training. Hope this helps answer your question.
