You are still able to live off camp - you just won't be able to whilst in Basic and Phase 1 training. Once you are out of training what you do outside work and where you live is up to you. The army will pay you up to 50miles travel if you choose to live in your own home during the week or you can claim money ('Get you home' allowance) if you only go home x amount of wknds a month. It is up to you whether you get a flat or not; some people prefer to have somewhere away from the military so they get to hang out with their civi friends. Whatever you decide to do - the army will support you where it can.
