My army number is 30292538. I used to serve within 12 Regiment RA, 12 Minden Air Assault Battery. But I am looking to rejoin as RMP soldier if possible? Would I also not need to complete phase 1 for this and would I automatically start as phase 2? Furthermore, would I be able to start of as my last rank as a Lance Bombardier?
Hi Perry,
Glad you are considering re-joining us! In terms of changing role on re-joining it will all depend where there are vacancies. You would not have to go back to Phase 1 but of course Phase 2 would be required if changing trade. There are no vacancies for the RMP at the moment at LCpl I'm afraid but there are for a whole load of other roles across the Infantry, Intelligence Corps and RA to just chose a few. When you applying to rejoin, our team can discuss this with you with the most up to date information.
Hope this helps.
Hi Josh,
Many thanks for the correspondence. Also thank you for clearing up some of my questions. In this case with there being no current vacancies, if I was to apply for the Army and look to join the RMP would I then go onto a waiting list for intakes?
Many thanks Perry.
Hi Perry,
Unfortunately I don't have that level of detail - there are separate pathways for new entrants and rejoiners and quotas that come with them. You do raise a valid point and if I were you I would put an application in for the RMP and then see what they say, you've got nothing to lose.
