Hi Andrew,

As a junior officer we are all, irrespective of our specific trade or role, responsible for the welfare, training and management of our soldiers. Your first job when leaving the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is usually to manage a team of around 30 soldiers. This includes ensuring they are ready to deploy to do their role or others that the Army requires of them. A normal day looks like some physical training first thing followed by whatever training or vehicle maintenance is in the calendar.
