Im currently at Harrogate as artillery but want to change to engeneers I have a 4 but need a 5 in maths I have the rest

I have a grade 4 in English, a grade 6 in history a 4 in biology (science) however only a 4 in maths when a 5 is required, I have heard I could take a test? My real question was to ask if it would still be at all possible to join as an electrical engineer and it’s a job role I would love to do

Role transfers are available to you twice in your career, having said that. This has a negative effect on your progression through the ranks as it delays your ability to become an SME in your trade.

Also at present, Engineers are in such high demand that you wouldn't be transferring anytime soon. We have a huge backload for specifically RE. If thats what you wish to do that you could ask your CoC for the transfer. Having said that, as you have not completed training yet this might not class as a transfer. You may have to leave and start the process of joining all over again.

Personally i wouldn't recommend that, Harrogate is not only a fantastic and unique establishment that you would miss out massively and not to mention the space you took from someone else that would go all the way through training at AFC, this places further delays on others in the pipeline.

You would have had alot of opportunities prior to joining to decide. You chose the one you believed to best suit you. I wouldn't let others deter you from doing what you have committed to already. If indeed this was a contributing factor.
