If i was to take a bricklaying or carpentry/joinery apprenticeship in the army how often would i be at home?

Your apprenticeship will be something you do alongside your role, so it would depend where you are posted and how busy your unit is.
After training, it's normal to have most weekends off, as well as leave blocks over Easter, Summer, and Christmas.
