this is a job role i want to go in to in to harrogate but is the it something i can gain or do i need a gcse in it to get that job role?
Hello,
To do your training at Harrogate, you'll need to start Basic Training before you're aged 17 years and 6 months.
The Royal Signals is a Corps in the British Army, not a role. There are many roles that you can join within the Royal Signals, each with their own qualification requirements. You can find out more on the Army Jobs website by typing "Royal Signals" on the Find A Role page.

My Corps offer a dual trade you may be interested in known as Driver Communications Specialist which doesn't require any formal qualifications, take a look here: Driver Communications Specialist.
Hopefully that's answered your question. Good luck with your application, and feel welcome to ask any follow up questions in the comments.
if iwas to go into it whar gcses would i need to take?
is computer science nesscary
Hello Tegan,
I'm not sure which job role you're referring to, but if you go to the job role page on the Army Jobs website and look at "Qualifications" under "Entry requirements", it will show you. For example, for Driver Communications Specialist it says "No formal qualifications needed", so you wouldn't need computer science. As another example, Information Services Engineer - Royal Signals requires "GCSE grade 4/C, Scottish National 5 grade C, or above in Maths or ICT, and GCSE level 3/D, Scottish National 4, or above in English, or RQF level 2 equivalents", so again, computer science is not a requirement.
This section is on every job role page, so you'll always know what is required before you apply.
I hope that helps.
thank you it does
