I would like to join the army as a plumbing apprentice .i am now engaged and my wedding in a year or two. Is there a possibility that the military will reject this because I am apprentice ? If the answer is no, will I have my own Accommodation?
Hello Mohannad,
There isn't a "Plumbing Apprentice" role. None of our roles are named "Apprentice", but you may be referring to joining as a "Plumber" with the Royal Engineers. This role, like many others, will earn you an apprenticeship qualification while you do your job. This should be viewed as an added bonus to your career and something to qualify your time in the Army to future civilian employers. An apprenticeship isn't a rank or a role.
You can get married while serving in the British Army. Many serving Soldiers and Officers get married, regardless of rank, role, or position.
As a member of the British Army, you'll be accommodated wherever you're posted.
I hope that helps to answer your questions.
