Although you cannot directly transfer from the RMP to a civilian police force, you can gain Royal College of Policing qualifications through the military police and of course you gain a wealth of experience in policing itself, which could well help you with future job applications. Because the RMP is quite varied in the sort of policing you can do, it can certainly give you work experience you would struggle to get anywhere else, like crime scene investigation.
