Hello Louis,
It would depend on your role and type of deployment, but it wouldn't be impossible for you to take a guitar with you or buy one locally on most deployments.
As an example, if you were to go Estonia, you could have a guitar with you while you're on the camp, but you probably wouldn't take it with you onto the exercise area.
