If I join to be a paratrooper would you”home/family” time still be the same as being a normal soldier?

Work life balance for any Soldier is completely dependent on your current operational commitments.
Myself, i currently typically work 08:30 - 17:30 Mon - Fri. This varies from unit to unit.
Operationally, I've worked 20+ hours, 7 days a week for up to 9 months at a time. Exhausting obviously at times, but equally rewarding. Not to mention the "popstar" wages that are in the bank when you return!
