If I become an apprentice electrician in the army, will I be dragged into combat on the battlefields when at war?

    Hello.

So its important to understand that nobody is going to get dragged into combat. The British Army is a volunteer army and we want to be here doing what we do. However, when in the Army, you would be expected to go to potential conflict areas in the capacity as an electrician. As an electrician I would be surprised if you ever found yourself fighting battles but all members of the Army do extensive training so they are prepared for operations. This is the Army and fighting is part of what we prepare for. If conflict is something you absolutely want to avoid, then you should really think hard about the fact you may have to be involved, even if its really unlikely.

Thanks. If you've any other questions then please let me know.
