If i apply as a soldier at 16 can i then train as a military officer at 18?

    Hi Rose,

    Joining at sixteen as a Junior Soldier can lead in time to becoming an officer and I have worked with many colleagues who have made that transition. It won't be quite as clear cut as immediately at 18 years old as you will need to spend some time in regiment to receive that recommendation but it is absolutely possible.

    Thank you, just to clarify is that the same for military police?

    Entry into the Royal Military Police is from 17 years and six months due to the requirement to be 18 before starting work in a Policing role.
