I believe what you are asking about is called conscientious objection. Conscientious objection specifically under religious grounds would not warrant you any jail time. However you would be required to voice your objection as soon as it is apparent and such objection would more that likely result in your dismissal from service. I would advise that if you have any objections right now that the British army may not be for you.
