If I am a nurse in the army, how much say do I get in where I work?

Good morning,
Every single Soldier gets a say in where they are located. As a preference at least. If a job is available at the point of asking at your desired location then you'll get that position.
That being said, there could be 1 job at that role and rank available but say 2 people bidding for it. We all have different experiences. For me, each time I've moved i have got my desired location 50% of the time.
