To join as a veterinary nurse you need to be a qualified Veterinary Nurse and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. You could potentially join in another role and use your learning credits to work toward your qualification alongside your role, but it would probably be advisable to gain the qualification before you join if this is the role you're set on.
I just finished high school and I want to join the army and work under the veterinary section. I have not gon to college yet. How do you advise me on this? What should I do to reach my goal?
If you want to join the Royal Army Veterinary Corps without being a qualified Veterinary Nurse then the only role available is Dog Handler: no formal qualifications required; however desire to work outside, with animals and previous kennel or dog handling experience will be looked on favourably.
If you're set on becoming a Veterinary Nurse, my advice would be to work toward becoming a Veterinary Nurse and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
So let me say I apply, to join the normal army and I get in, what should I set my sight onto or what should I be determined to do in order to get to my goal considering all ongoing factors right now that I am a highschool leader. What do you advise that I should do from the beginning?
Being in the Regular Army will not waiver the requirement to be a qualified Veterinary Nurse and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to become a Veterinary Nurse in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. So, if you were to join the Regular Army and aspire to become a Veterinary Nurse you could look at using your learning credits to gain the required qualifications.
Again, if you're set on becoming a Veterinary Nurse my advice would be that you become a qualified Veterinary Nurse and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons so that you meet the entry requirements.
