I was interested in finding out a bit more on what is involved to be an army nurse and what I need to join?

This would depend on current qualifications and what route it is you wish to take such as the officer or soldier route.
If you are looking at an officer role you would already need to have your nursing degree and be registered with the NMC.
The same is for soldier roles however you may apply during your degree to start once you have finished.
If you are looking at the student nurse then your qualification will be paid for by the Army for this you would need to complete basic training and then you will spend the next 3 years at Birmingham city university (BCU) once qualified you will then complete your transition to nursing course which will help cover the differences between NHS and military nurses teaching you more about the different environments that we work in and what would be involved.
All of these would either require you to already be registered as a nurse with NMC or meet the entry criteria as per the Army jobs and BCU entry standards.
