Chelsea T. asked a question to Michael K.
Hi Chelsea,
The Army Reserves is a fantastic way to receive the best of both worlds.
The Reserves have many of the same opportunities albeit not as extensive as Regular Soldiers in respect to Deployments, Adventurous training and Sports.
Difference being the flexibility. Whilst you would be encouraged to commit to to as much as possible, ultimately it's down to yourself. In that fact, the flexibility could almost be seen as pick and choose which weekends and deployments you wish to commit to, depending on what your unit is currently aligned to and indeed how much you'd like to get involved.
Of course the more you get involved, the more benefit it is to you. Equally, most good Civilian employers nowadays are on board with the commitment to serving Reserve Soldiers and understanding the need to release them for some military obligations.
If you'd like to know more I'd encourage you to browse job roles on the Army Website and furthermore search for your local Army Reserve Units too, as they are full of extensive information that would put you in the best position to join a role that suits you best.
I wish you the very you best of luck.
