Hi, the age limit is 36 for your job role and you have to start basic training before your 36th birthday. The average application takes around 5 to 6 month (this can vary depending on a few factors such as medical). So probably where you have the 35 1/2 deadline. My advice is apply and get moving through the process as soon as possible as I assume you ask as your approaching the upper age limit.

Thank you, Graeme. Yes, I'm currently 33 and gearing up to apply as soon as I meet the eligibility reqs. Only asking because I want to join as a regular but don't rule out joining reserves if it came to it. Thank you for your time
