Hi,
When you join the Army you will complete a minimum term of service, as laid out in the British Army's Terms and Conditions of Service. This minimum term is 4 years. By the time you have completed your plumbing course, following your basic and engineer training, you may have only been in the Army for 2 years or less, and will still have some time to serve before you can leave. I hope this answers your question.
Warm Regards,
SSgt Rob Needham
Yes, you can leave once your plumbing apprenticeship is complete—there’s no obligation to stay unless your contract says otherwise.
