I want to be a doctor. I am not sure if I am eligible?
I'll be applying to uni this year to study medicine and want to specialise in neuroscience to hopefully become a neurosurgeon. Since I would be into surgery would I rather work in the operating department? Would I qualify for the bursary?

Hi Jennifer,
You would be eligible for the bursary, the return of service for the bursary is 4 years after commissioning (post FY2), and this will be when you do your years as a GDMO.
If there aren't any training jobs available for someone who wants to go down the neurosurgery route when you finish your return of service, then you can choose to leave and train with the NHS instead.
