I am currently looking at transferring to the army within the next year. I also want to challenge myself by going officer, due to my current experience will I skip any of the basic training or will it aid in my selection process for becoming and int officer?
Hi,
Prior service is always helpful for the Corps! If you go for the officer route you will be required to attend Sandhurst, then pass Int Corps selection when in your Junior or Intermediate Term. You will sit a number of English and Maths based tests, team tasks, knowledge of current affairs and Interviews. If successful, you will be taken to Regimental Selection Board (RSB) where you will be interviewed by senior officers in the Corps to assess your suitability.
Hope this helps,
Paul
