I want to join the British Army / Defense Force because it's a passion to help make a difference in the world or community. It's always been my dream to become a sniper since I was a little girl.
Hello Lizaan,
For clarification: The British Army identifies as an Army, not a Defence Force.
You can find everything you need to know about eligibility, roles, and much more on the Army Jobs website: https://jobs.army.mod.uk/
Thank you so much Steven. It's much appreciated
Is there a recruiting contact person you can refer to me or maybe someone I can talk to regarding to join the Army.
Hi Lizaan,
If you meet the joining criteria laid down on the Army recruiting website, then you can submit an application of interest and a recruiter will contact you.
Katie
I just want to know, I stay in South Africa and we are part of the Commonwealth. Does the Army still recruit from Commonwealth countries
Commonwealth soldiers are, and always will be, an important and valued part of the fabric of the British Army.
Due to an unprecedented number of applications for a limited number of jobs, the Army is not currently inviting applications from Commonwealth nationals but will be keeping the situation under review.
All Commonwealth candidates and their sponsors are thanked for their patience and commitment in these uncertain times. You can find more information in the Commonwealth leaflet here:

And you can check for the latest updates on Commonwealth policy here: https://jobs.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-apply/nationality/
