I’m considering joining up I’ve got a girlfriend of 5 years and 2 kids ones almost 3 and the other is 3 months
Is it doable having this kind of family and can it cause resentment by my partner and kids? Also I’m 35 years old will that affect my application?

im not sure, but i think the age limit for joining the infantry is 35. double check online.
ref your family, it is doable, im 34, a wife and 2 small kids.
as you arent married you can apply for SFA via a long term relationship program. that housing will be located where your unit is so you would all have to move.
failing that, you can commute if your unit is local but thats not a garantee.

Daniel upper age limit can be found in Entry requirements of role you are interested some have upper age limit of 35 years and 6 months. If you are over the age limit you could maybe consider a role with the Army reserve alongside your current job/studies.
