I'm 17 and awaiting ACL reconstruction in the summer, can I join after i recover or should I look for another career?

Once you are fully recovered then you may apply however there are sometime time frames set on these type of surgeries just to ensure it doesn't become a reoccurring problem.
This decision will be made by the medical team during your application phase as to weather or not you can join and/or if any time frames (deferrals) are relevant.
