As you mentioned, due to insurance purposes you can’t wear your own plate carrier. Most vertus plate carriers will be set out the same depending on your role within the army.

Plate carriers should be kept minimum and essential kit only.

The days of Afghanistan where there were bits of kit on the front, there were instances where improvised explosive devices were triggered and the blast was throwing unnecessary kit around.

Each unit will have its own sop and kit layout.

Helmets should also only include the essentials. Your unit will dictate if you are allowed to flash or patch of any kind.

Same as your webbing.
