Jessica,
Thanks for your question
What role is it you were looking to join?
If you look on the army website, this will show you what qualifications you require for each job role or trade. I would get the ones you need plus as many more as you can get as once you start going through the process, you may find a different job that suits you or you are more suitable for.
Further one in your career these GCSEs could help.
Regards
J
In addition to what James has said above, if you do not have A-C grades (4-9 in new terms I believe) in maths and English, you will get the army equivalent once you join as these are required for career progression (promotion).
It is in your best interest to get as many as possible as it will give you a far greater choice of job roles.
Good luck!
Take the GCSE options that you want to, things that you enjoy - you are more likely to succeed and do well in. Your grades are important and will open more avenues for you and give you far more job options both in a career in the army and outside too. During your time in the army you'd also gain many qualifications but the more and better you do now, the better it will set you up. Good luck!!!
