Hi, the army will no doubt offer you experiences, qualifications, a roof over your head, a decent salary but you've got to go with the mindset that it's something you want to do or it'll just make basic training seem much harder than it necessarily is. Only you can decide what and how can re-direct your life.
The army has been a turning point in many people's lives and there's not many who look back and say, 'wish i'd never joined!' Good luck and go for it - but i;m biased and i love my job!
