Hello,
I am afraid military doctors don't do entry medicals as that side of things is managed by the recruitment team, but I will do my best to answer your question.
We can't answer specific medical queries here, but if you start an application on the Army website, the Medical team will be able to speak to your in more detail and give you a clearer answer.
Very generally speaking, any candidates with cataracts would have to be discussed with a specialist, so while some candidates may be suitable, others may not.
In terms of your glasses, the Army does ask for your prescription to meet certain standards, last time I check it needed to be better than either -6.00 or +6.00, however the guidelines are always being updated so it is best to confirm this when you apply.
I hope that helps.
