Hello Nicholas how can i help
I've just applied for the Cyber Engineer career path myself yesterday. I've no military experience but I do have 15 years experience in IT and stay very fit and healthy
I've no idea what to expect but the role really spoke to me; it would be great to be part of something bigger, with a long term commitment. How have you found it? What were your greatest challenges?
For cyber engineers, these are exciting times and the Army is developing this capability. Have a look at this link: https://www.army.mod.uk/who-we-are/formations-divisions-brigades/6th-united-kingdom-division/
I have found the job very satisfying one day we can be maintaining our communications equipment and the next deploying to Kenya for 4 months.
Greatest challenge is getting best Radio detachment on deployment
Thank you. Are there enhanced fitness requirements for this career path, or will I be OK ensuring I meet the standard requirements (2.9M Medicine ball through, 96KG mid thigh pull, 11:15 2KM run)?
It sounds very exciting
94 kg mid thigh pull med ball throw 2.9m 2km- 11.15
Thank you for your insight today Corporal.
