I'd like to join the army but not as a permanent career, only for a year or 2, is that possible or is joining long term?
I'm interested in joining as an equine groom, or a dog handler, I'm 17 and 8 months, but would like to travel the world soon, and am looking for a temporary part to make a little money and gain some new experiences

There isn't an option to only join for 2 years: when joining, you'll sign a 12 year contract with a minimum commitment of 4 years.
