As with most army roles, all individuals are offered a jobs list of those regiments available and submit a Posting Preference Proforma to state where they'd like to go. This is the matched up against where the Army needs its people and assignments issued. You will always get a choice but not all regiments will be available every time. P Coy can be done separately as a doctor to then ensure you are eligible for Para tied roles at any point in your career.
