    Hi there!

We have several candidates similar to yourself presently going through our application process, all at various stages, as well as serving soldiers. If you are successful at passing our assessment and medical process, then we will support you through a healthcare plan whilst you are in service. This is already in place for our soldiers and is just a part of the support available.

If you wanted to speak to a serving soldier with experiences similar to yours, you might like to try the armylgbt.org.uk site where you can ask further questions or read about the careers of some of our LGBT soldiers. Alternatively, feel free to ask more questions here and I will do my best.

    Hello!
Thank you for the quick response, much appreciated as I was unsure if this was possible. I have tried to contact through that website however have not had any response and found this page.
I will likely apply in a couple of months as I am currently in recovery from an operation and would like to be in peak fitness when joining.
    Many thanks.

You are most welcome! Best of luck and once you apply you'll have direct contact with one of our team who will be able to support you through the process.

Good morning, Thank you for your responses. I have applied and I am currently waiting for the pass on my medical records but have not been able to find anyone in a similar position. As a recruiter have you had anyone in a similar position to mine that has passed the medical records and the assessment centre? Just wanting to see what my chances are of getting in as this would be a great job opportunity and future lifestyle.

Hello again! You are right in saying that there are not many in your position but there are definitely some similar to yourself going through the process and (from my last check) they are either in training or soon to start. It will, as a lot of our applications do, be waiting on the medical records and scrutiny that takes the most time. Please speak to your recruiter about any concerns you have, they will be more than happy to help.
