I am looking to challenge myself and advance my medical knowledge and skills as a reservist, once qualified. Though am not sure what role would suit me best as I would prefer to be away from heavy combat.
Hello,
Our role finder on the website has a list of the available medical roles that you may find helpful.
There is no equivalent to a PA currently, so you may need to look at a slightly different clinical role.
To join as an officer in a clinical role you would need to have the required qualification (doctor, pharmacist, physiotherapist, nurse). Therefore if you wish to remain clinical then you are looking at joining as a soldier, you can filter the role search by both 'soldier roles' and 'medical roles', this will give you an idea of what is available. Some of these roles do also require a specific qualification.
If you wish to avoid combat then I would perhaps caution against the combat medical technician role.
I hope that helps.
