Good morning. How would the effects of loose skin from weight loss impact on day-day duties that come with the Army?

I am currently working on losing weight and have lost two stone so far (with five more to go). But I am worried that having loose skin from this weight loss might negatively impact on the duties that come with being a soldier in the British Army? I am keen to join and have been working on weight and fitness to better myself.

    Hi Reece,

Well done on your weight loss so far.

It is difficult to comment on individual medical circumstances. The main consideration would be whether it would affect you wearing uniform or using military equipment, and this is unlikely.
You will undergo a full medical when you join to ensure you don't have any medical conditions that may negatively impact your ability to join.

    Best of luck.
