I completed 14 weeks basic training and 15 weeks trade training for my job role. By the end of training you should be well prepared for starting at your new unit. I had no previous experience in my field before joining the Army.
Like all jobs, you do learn mostly by doing them; so as soon as you get to your first unit, you'll start to pick up most important aspects of your role with the help of your team.
